About this Lens

The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) is a fast-aperture standard zoom lens for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It features a redesigned optical construction of 17 elements in 15 groups, including LD and glass-molded aspherical elements, for sharp edge-to-edge rendering and smooth bokeh. Autofocus is driven by Tamron's VXD linear motor, which is fast, precise, and quiet, with AF speed roughly twice that of the previous-generation model. The lens offers a minimum object distance of 7.1 inches at 28mm with a 1:2.7 maximum magnification ratio, moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coating, and compatibility with Tamron Lens Utility for customization.
