The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036) is a constant f/2.8 standard zoom lens designed for Sony full-frame E-mount mirrorless cameras. Weighing 550g and measuring 117.8mm in length, it is notably more compact and lighter than competing f/2.8 zooms while offering comparable versatility. It features Tamron's RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) motor for fast, quiet autofocus, BBAR coating to reduce ghosting and flare, and a 0.19m minimum object distance at the wide end that enables close-up shooting at up to 1:2.9 magnification. The lens includes moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coating, a nine-bladed rounded aperture, and support for camera features such as Eye AF and Direct Manual Focus.
