About this Lens
The Tamron 17-50mm F4 Di III VXD (Model A068) is a wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, covering focal lengths from ultra-wide 17mm to standard 50mm with a constant F4 aperture. It uses a VXD linear motor autofocus system for fast, precise, and quiet focusing, along with an internal zoom mechanism in a compact, moisture-resistant body weighing 460g. The optical construction of 15 elements in 13 groups, including LD and aspherical elements, suppresses aberrations, and the lens offers a minimum object distance of 0.19m with a maximum magnification of 1:2.5. Firmware updates are possible via a USB port on the lens, and it is compatible with Tamron Lens Utility software.
