About this Lens

The Sigma 16-28mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a compact full-frame ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It features a constant F2.8 aperture, 9 rounded diaphragm blades, a 25cm minimum focusing distance, and an optical construction of 16 elements in 11 groups, including 5 FLD and 4 aspherical elements to suppress chromatic aberrations. The lens uses an inner zoom mechanism that keeps its length and balance constant during zooming, weighs 450g, and offers fast, silent stepping-motor autofocus along with dust and splash resistance. A 72mm front filter thread allows use of neutral density and polarizing filters.
