About this Lens

The Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 is a wide-angle prime lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, also usable on APS-C bodies with a 37.5mm equivalent focal length. It features a Distagon-based optical design with aspherical and low dispersion elements, a bright f/2 maximum aperture, and ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating for sharp, well-corrected images suited to landscape, architecture, and reportage work. Autofocus is driven by linear motors for fast, quiet operation, and an OLED display on the barrel shows focus distance and depth of field. The lens has a dust- and weather-sealed metal build, 67mm filter thread, minimum focus distance of 7.87 inches, and weighs approximately 0.73 lb.
